Clinical/Laboratory component
The clinical/ laboratory component of the program which is presenting two-third of the program will provide students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in performing endodontic procedures from the first week on extracted teeth applying what have been learned weekly. Besides the work on extracted teeth, the candidates will have the opportunity to do clinical attachment with the consultants in the hospital which will provide a great chance to see how endodontic procedures are done live. Not only laboratory work will give the interaction but also seeing the endodontic treatment in full experience will inspire some of these students to seek a more specialized approach in the field of endodontics.
References:
These references are all well-respected and comprehensive, and they will provide students with a solid foundation in endodontics. In addition to these references, trainees will be referred to the following journals:
These journals are all peer-reviewed and contain the latest research in endodontics, trainees will be able to stay up to date on the latest advances in the field.
The number of clinical sessions suggested for this 6-month Course is around 22 lectures, 20 sessions of hands-on work with 44 sessions of attachment sessions with consultants with a total of 208 hours of learning time.
What makes out course Unique from other ?
Instructors
The number of instructors needed will depend on the number of students enrolled in the program. For a program with 10 students, the course lectures, clinical and laboratory sessions as well as the attachment sessions well be distributed among our doctors in the endodontic department who has teaching experience. This will allow for more individualized attention to students and will ensure that all topics are covered in a comprehensive and timely manner. Also, the students will be distributed on the clinical session with the consultant instructors to complete their attachment sessions.
